About Gus
Gus Benson is a 25-year-old songwriter, producer, multi-instrumentalist, and audio engineer. Originally born and raised in North Carolina, his music is shaped by the folk tradition — Appalachian music, blues, and roots form the foundation, a jumping-off point for deeper exploration.
Gus graduated from Brown University with a B.A. in Music in 2024. When not in the woodshed, he's surfing or restoring vintage motorcycles.

In partial fulfillment of the requirements of the A.B. degree in Music at Brown University, Gus spent his senior spring crafting a collection of seven original songs. Written, recorded, produced, mixed, and mastered entirely by Gus during the spring 2024 semester — available for pre-release listening (all rights reserved).
Gus plans to release the EP to streaming platforms following a final revision process.
